The EARLYchildhood system is a computer-based system designed to provide a comprehensive measure of growth and development for children enrolled in Early Childhood education programs. Teachers observe children, rate performance on skills, and enter electronic documentation to support the ratings.
EARLYchildhood allows teachers to update scores on an ongoing basis and archive them for snapshots of skill performance at given points in time. Teachers can print reports for parents that list skills and skill ratings with levels of performance on core skills in each domain. Parents can view electronic evidence of skill performance from the portfolio component.
Open-Source Business Model
EARLYchildhood uses the new revolutionary Open-Source business model. Eliminating expensive proprietary software, databases, and third-party licenses (Oracle, Windows, MS SQL) results in less cost and more value. Open Standards do not lock you in, to proprietary software.
